She instructed a level 1 class and assisted in the medical classes (including prenatal and fertility) with Corine Biria. Her studies also include many trips to India to learn from the Iyengars and ongoing classes with senior teachers, Gabriella Giubilaro, Stephanie Quirk and Corine Biria. After 10+ years as co-owner of The Iyengar Yoga Center of Denver/Yoga Center of Denver, she, her husband, daughter and dog moved to Northern Italy in 2021. They enjoy travel, skiing, sailing and more. Lisa is a dedicated teacher with a commitment to further her own knowledge and share the physical, mental and emotional benefits of Iyengar Yoga with the students.

About the Workshop: The Breath of the Asana

Every asana has its own breath. We bring prana into our being through the breath. From Light on Yoga, “Prana means breath, respiration, life, vitality, wind, energy or strength.” In this workshop, we will explore the extension and expansion of the breath in asana to prepare the body and mind for a deeper exploration of pranayama.
